Office Move Tips

Whether you’re a one-man operation or have a large workforce, we can help relocate your business.

We will take care of the logistics and planning for your move; we'll customise our services to meet your specific requirements and time frame.

However large or small, complex or seemingly straightforward, however short notice or far in advance, give us a call to find out how we can help.

We can take care of everything, from delivering crates and packing materials before your move to liaising with building management, providing Risk Assessments and Method Statements and arranging parking with the local authorities.

Some tips for your move 👇

#1

DON’T BE TEMPTED TO OVER FILL YOUR CRATES.

A bulging crate can’t be stacked. Make sure the lids shut so they can be stacked properly.

#2

USE OUR HANDY CRATE LABELS.

At the other end, we’ll know exactly where every crate should be. Put one label on the lid, and another on the side, so there’s no confusion.

#3

ASK, IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WON’T NEED AT YOUR NEW OFFICE?

Bringing down the size of the load will reduce the cost of your relocation. Store anything you don’t need with us. It can be more economical than renting office space for your archives, or any other stuff you don’t need to keep to hand. We also offer a simple disposal and recycling service. Talk to us about your unwanted furniture, and we’ll do our best to find it a new home

#4

DON’T STACK FULL OFFICE CRATES MORE THAN THREE HIGH…

…or full IT Crates more than two high. Crates can get rather heavy, and lifting them to head height can be tricky and dangerous.

#5

EVERYTHING THAT’S NOT GOING IN A CRATE SHOULD GO IN A STURDY, DOUBLE-PLY CARDBOARD BOX.

Our boxes guarantee the safety of their contents, and makes stacking in our vans easier, reducing the number of trips to the van, saving you money.

#6

MAKE AN OFFICE PLAN WHERE POSSIBLE.

f we know exactly where something is going, you’ll be back at work in no time. You can send it to us in advance of your move, so we can familiarise ourselves with your move, and ask any questions we might have ahead of time.

#7

IT CRATES SHOULD ONLY HOUSE MONITORS, KEYBOARDS, COMPUTER TOWERS AND ALL RELATED CABLES.

We can supply monitor and keyboard bubble bags when we deliver your crates, and you should always make sure the monitors and towers are the ‘right way up’. We will also use extra blankets on the day to fill any empty space, so don’t be tempted to fill these gaps with other items. We recommend one IT crate per person, even if it feels excessive; this way you don’t need to label individual items. Use the LC3 office crates for all your paperwork and other workstation bits and bobs, including pedestal contents. Don’t leave anything in your pedestal.

#8

CHECK ANY PARKING ARRANGEMENTS OR LOADING TIMES AT BOTH THE CURRENT ADDRESS, AND THE NEW.

Anything we can prepare for in advance will speed things up on the day. We are more than happy to arrange parking on your behalf.
